2011 Football Schedule Released

February 25, 2011

On a random Friday in late February, the BIG EAST let loose on the world the greatness that is known as the 2011 BIG EAST Football Schedule.  Finally, we can begin planning our tailgating for 8 Saturdays next fall:

Sat., Sept. 3
Buffalo
Sat., Sept. 10
Maine
Sat., Sept. 17
at Iowa
Sat., Sept. 24
Notre Dame (ABC/ESPN/ESPN2)
Thu., Sept. 29
USF (8 p.m., ESPN)
Sat., Oct. 8
at RUTGERS
Sat., Oct. 15
Utah
Wed., Oct. 26
CONNECTICUT (8 p.m., ESPN)
Sat., Nov. 5
CINCINNATI
Sat., Nov. 12
at LOUISVILLE
Fri., Nov. 25
at WEST VIRGINIA (ABC/ESPN/ESPN2)
Sat., Dec. 3
SYRACUSE (ABC/ESPN/ESPN2)

Wait, what?

And yes, you read that correctly…the UConn game is a Wednesday night game.  Apparently Mike Haywood left a little bit of the MAC behind in his couple weeks in office.  Think of it this way though, if our new high octane offense scores 40+ points a game and wins, there won’t be many empty yellow seats regardless of the day.

50 days until the spring game…Hail to Pitt!
